·Introduction
This sale policy is designed to help you, the buyer or owner, with any discrepancies with your new rabbit. First of all, I reserve the right to not sell any rabbits at any time, to anyone I choose. I believe that at the rabbit's new home, the rabbit should receive equal value of care and respect, as the rabbit would have received at my rabbitry. JASH Rabbitry is private barn and only available by an appointment. I do give discounts for 4-H and FFA. I do NOT sell rabbits for consumption. I will not sell a rabbit to a buyer that even infers about consuming rabbits. I also do not sell rabbits that will be used as bait of any kind. I do not ship rabbits, but will meet at a show. I don’t sell rabbits to non-serious owners or breeders. If any problem or fault is found on the rabbit (wrong sex, bad teeth ect.). I will give a discount for a new rabbit, if the fault can be proven. I do not sell rabbits that will not scratch or bite. I will always take the bunny back, if it is too much to handle or just not they right pet.
·Health
When a rabbit is sold it will be de-wormed and treated with ivomec. The rabbit will be in good health at the time it is sold and picked up. If in the first week an illness is detected and it can be traced back to my rabbitry, I will refund with a new animal or money refund. I will not refund money or a new rabbit, if the cause of the illness or death was caused by some factor at the new buyer's home. If any rabbits of interest carry any genetic defects that I am aware of, they will be disclosed to the buyer. All of my rabbits are handled from birth and should have good temperaments. Every rabbit will be used to some handling and will be socialized. This does not mean that every rabbit I sell will be passive and calm, some bunnies have spirit and they will show it. I can not guarantee that when a rabbit comes to its new home, it will act the same as it did at my rabbitry. All animals take time to adjust to new surroundings.
·Buying and Showing
You will have 48 hours to bring the animal back for a money refund. I sell rabbits when they are weaned. I will not sell show bunnies until they are 12-13 weeks, unless I am short on space. When a rabbit is sold less than six months, the bunny comes with transitional food. If you buy a breeding pair I will give a discount. More rabbits that are purchased, better the deal. I can not guarantee the rabbit will place when shown. It is the buyer's responsibility to check the rabbit over, but if a defeat or fault can be proven I will refund with a new rabbit. I will give my honest opinion and point out flaws I would like to change to make the rabbit better. I do not sell perfect rabbits. Any bunny that I think has major potentional stays with me unless I am short on space. I will sell bred does (sometimes). There will be a fee added for a doe that is sold bred. On some litters you can be put on a waiting list, so when the litter is for sale you get first choise (Second To Me:p). The waiting list fees vary from the quality of the litter. The fee has no part in what the animal costs. Waiting list fees vary from: $5-Up.
·My Expectations of a New Owner
My expectations are simple. The rabbit should have a safe cage, the rabbit should always have fresh water and be fed on a daily basis, and the rabbit should be kept clean and free from bugs. The rabbit should have its nails trimmed regularly and given attention. The rabbit should be kept warm in the winter and cool in the summer. If the rabbit becomes ill, and needs medical attention I expect you to take it to a Vet. Rabbits are not meant to be let go in a field, backyard, or put in cage and forgotten. Rabbits deserve your respect and love like any other living being.
·Payment
I take cash, checks, and trades as payment for a rabbit. When a rabbit is "Sold", the whole cost of the rabbit has been paid. A sold rabbit has left my rabbitry. I only "Hold" rabbits for a week. Half the cost of the rabbit will be paid as a non-refundable deposit. In special circumstances I might hold a rabbit longer if prior arrangements have been made. If a rabbit will stay at my rabbitry longer than three weeks a $5 charge will be added for every three weeks it stays. A rabbit is "For Sale", unless I choose to keep it. The four factor helps if a desired rabbit will be for sale and allows you to put the rabbit on hold. There is no holding fee, just half the cost of the rabbit will be paid as a non-refundable deposit. The rabbit is not for sale at the moment, because it is still needed for some purpose, but "Will Be For Sale" after it's purpose is filled.
·Rabbits are sold in 3 categories
Pet Quality: A rabbit sold as pet consists of a rabbit that is not always showable and may have disqualifications. Pet bunnies normally do not reach my standard of what I think a show rabbit should be. Not all of the pets I sell will be babies. Sometimes I sell retired brood bunnies and show rabbits. For these retirees, I look for a great home where these special rabbits, can spend the rest of their days. Some of my pet quality rabbits can be used for 4-H and FFA projects (these rabbits will be free of disqualifications). These bunnies make great pets. A pet rabbits come with transitional food, and care instructions. Pet Prices: $10-$25 +Pedigree $15 Brood Quality: Brood quality or breeding quality, is a rabbit that may or may not be free of disqualifications at the time it is sold (any DQs will be disclosed to anyone who desires to purchase that rabbit). Some brood quality rabbits may be shown. Prices of brood quality vary according to color, show quality characteristics, and back ground lines. All brood rabbits should be proven breeders, unless they are still too young to breed. I can not guranatee a brood rabbit will breed for its new owner. A brood rabbit comes with a pedigree and care instructions. If you buy a breeding pair I also give discounts. Brood Quality: $30 and Up Show Quality: A show quality rabbit is free of disqualifications at the time it is sold. A show rabbit has traits and qualities that are desirable for showing. I can not guarantee the rabbit will place first, but I can guarantee it is showable at time it is sold. Some show bunnies are sold at a lower price, but they will not come with a pedigree. The rabbit comes with transitional food, a pedigree, and care instructions. Show Quality: $30 and Up
